Outlook 2013 reply all removes my e-mail address

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to Outlook 2013 and noticed something different than Outlook 2010 as far as replying to all.  In Outlook 2010 if my e-mail address was included in the group and I replied to all...I would receive the e-mail.  I liked the way this worked.  Now, in Outlook 2013, when replying to all it removes my e-mail so I never get my own reply which I like to get and tuck away for later.  Any ideas on how to work around this and fix?  T

Hi Chris,

I haven't noticed this behavior on my test environment -- when I reply to a group includes my own email address, Outlook 2013 behave the same as Outlook 2010.

Some questions:

Is this happened to all the groups you relplied to? If no, check if you have any rules that will move the email message to the other folders.

When check the email in the Sent Items folder, can you find your name or email address in the group?

Suggestions:

Such kind of behavior might be caused by the invalid OAB (Offline Address Book), try manually remove the OAB, and download a new copy, and check the issue again.

Normally, we can find the OAB at the following location:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books

Hi,

I have this same issue with other clients using Outlook 2013 as well.  One client I am referring to is using O365 and the other client uses Exchange 2010.  When you reply to a message it simply removes my e-mail from the new message.  It seems as if there should be a setting to adjust this or something.  I have read other posts searching around indicating similar behavior...

There are no rules in place.  Not in sent folder because Outlook removes the e-mail from the To: box before I even send the message.  Other suggestions?

OK, to avoid further misunderstanding, I'll try to explain as following:

A Contact Group, known in previous Outlook versions as a distribution list, is a grouping of email addresses collected under one name. A message sent to a Contact Group goes to all recipients that are listed in the group.

For example, we have a contact group named Test_Group, the Test_Group contains several contacts include myself, let's say, Contact_1, Contact_2, Myself.

If we reply to a email that with the Test_Group in the To: field, the email will be sent to all recipients that are listed in the group.

On the other hand, if we reply to a email that with all the email addresses in the To: field, then Myself will be removed.

Please be aware, both Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 behave in the same way.

This issue happens without using distribution or contact groups....just multiple e-mails in the To: and CC:

After some more research, I find out that the behavior "keep yourself in the reply to list" occurs when there is something wrong with the Suggested Contacts. Well on the PCs we are experiencing this with we are using Outlook 2013 and suggestion contacts has been discontinued with Outlook 2013...so it must be something else going on...

Please note, when reply to a lot of email addresses that include our own email address, our own email address will be removed from To: list in the reply email, this is the default behavior.

What you said that your own email address has been kept in the To: list, is an unexpected behavior only occurs when there is something wrong with your Suggested Contacts.

This also explains why it is "not working" as it "used to be", since the problem list is no longer used.

Ok...so you are stating that this is by default that our own e-mail address is removed from the To: when replaying all to a message?  Just want to make sure I am clear.  Is there any way around this so it doesn't remove my own e-mail from the To: list?  This is what I have been trying to find out.  Thanks.
