Outlook 2013 not downloading all emails at a time.

Dear Support,

We are using outlook 2013 as a POP account.I am not using the outlook for past 1 week.Daily, i use to get 100 mails per day in outlook. After one week, when i opened the outlook 2013,it is not downloading 700 mails at a time.

I have to manually click on the SEND/RECEIVE icon button to receive all the emails one by one.

Please let me know why it is not downloading 700 emails at a time.Is there any option to be done in outlook 2013 pop account to download all the 700 emails at a time.

looking forward for your reply at the earliest.

Hi,

The first thing I suggest is to check your .pst file, it is where your POP3 account stores the messages, sometimes large .pst files can cause some unexpected issues such as some performance problems.

Then you can try to run Scanpst.exe to scan and repair the possible errors in the .pst file, check if this can help.

This issue sounds like Outlook is trying to download emails and then suddenly stops, please also check this setting in Outlook:

FILE -> Account Settings -> Account Settings -> Double click on the POP3 account -> More Settings -> Advanced tab -> Check the "Server Timeouts" settings. I suggest you set this longer so that Outlook doesn't "give up" so early when there's any difficulty connecting to the server.
