Outlook 2013 mail messages marked as read when viewed on another device
I'm using Outlook 2013 on multiple devices to view a single mail account. I'm configured using the office 365 exchange server. Why are my messages marked as read across all devices? Also, why when I configure my view on one device, does that
modifcation get pushed to all devices?

That's how Exchange works, view status is stored as a property of the message in your mailbox, server-side. If you mark a message as read on any device (PC, tablet, mobile), it will stay like that on other devices as well.

Hi,
In exchange, this feature is called Direct Push.
Direct Push is a feature that's built into Microsoft Exchange Server 2013. Direct Push keeps a mobile device current over a cellular or wireless network connection. It notifies the mobile device when new content is ready to be synchronized.
