Outlook 2013 issues with Windows 10

I have installed Windows 10 and now Outlook 2013 does not work correctly.

If I send a new email, it shows as 'sent' in the Sent folder, but it hasn't actually been sent as the receipients never receive the message.

However, it would appear that a 'reply' to an existing message is sent.

Receiving mail is not an issue, it appears to work correctly.

I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Office 2013 to see if that would solve the issue but it doesn't. I then ran 'sfc /scannow'  from the as the Administrator and got the following message;

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windr\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C;\Windows\Logs\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios."

This still has not resolved the problem.

Any idea on how to fix this issue short of binning Windows 10?

Hi,

Based on the description, the issue is that the recipients don't receive emails from you. We can't say it's caused by Outlook for sure, please logon the OWA/Webmail, send the emails to the recipients again, ask if they can receive the emails.

If the recipients still don't receive the emails, we may suspect that they have blocked your messages, either on their client or their environment, they need to contact their administrator for this issue.

You should also send test messages to more recipients to see whether the issue occurs to a particular group of recipients or all of them.

Hi,

To recover from Outlook 2013 issue, you need to run the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker Tool. I know you already tried it, but please follow these steps to run System File Checker tool: -

Right click on Start button and choose Command Prompt (Admin).

If you dont see this, instead choose: Windows PowerShell (ADMIN).

Behind the Prompt type: sfc/scannow

Wait until the process completes.

Then need to restart your computer.

Hi Melon,

The issue only started after I loaded Windows 10. In windows 8.1 all worked ok.

It is not just one recipient who is not getting my mail, but all of them that I have emailed. I have also tried to send myself an email, also never received. They move to the 'Outbox' folder and then to the 'Sent" folder but that would appear to be as far as the get.

I disabled my firewall to see if that had any effect, but there was no change.

I did some further checks with replying to a message and it too is not being received by recipients.

I tried using my web based email and there are no issues as far as others receiving the email, so the issue is surely Outlook 2013 interfacing with Windows 10.

I have run the 'sfc /scannow' again and I still get the same message (as above) when it has finished its scan.

I am running out of ideas.

I am not sure what you mean by "logon the OWA/Webmail"?

Thanks,

Mark
