Outlook 2013 is stuck on Loading Profile

I am running Windows 8.1 with Office 2013.  My Outlook has been running well for the last week, since I purchased my computer.  However, as I was attempting to test a new email account Outlook 2013 crashed, and I am now unable to start it.  It continues with the Loading Profile start message infinitum.  Can someone please suggest a few troubleshooting tips that I can try to diagnose and hopefully solve the problem. Where do I start?

Thnks!

Hi,

From the description, when you were adding a new email account in Outlook, Outlook crashed. Then, when restarting, it is stuck on Loading Profile, am I correct?

This issue may happen if your mail profile is corrupt. We may first try removing the newly added email account from the profile and then test the issue again. If this doesn't work, we need to recreate the mail profile and then reconfigure your email account in the new profile to resolve the issue.

To remove the account from current profile, exit Outlook, go to Control Panel > Mail > Email Accounts, highlight the account and click Remove button. Then, restart Outlook to see the result.

To create a new mail profile, please refer to the following KB article:

Please let me know the result.
