Outlook 2013 error connecting to Exchange 2010 using proxy
I have an Exchange 2010 server set up and Outlook clients connecting directly across the local LAN work fine. I have some users that need to connect across the Internet, so I have their Outlook configured to connect using a proxy and SSL. As of June they started having issues and the Exchange server will not log them on. When they enter their credentials, the logon screen just pops back up. Hi,

How did you set the Logon network security setting under More Settings on the Microsoft Exchange Security tab? Please make sure it's not set to a value other than Anonymous Authentication.

To do this, please follow:

1. Launch Control Panel, find and click Mail

2. Click Show Profiles, select your Outlook profile, and click Properties.

3. Click E-mail Accounts, select Account Settings and on the E-mail tab, click Change.

4. In the Change Account dialog, click More Settings.

5. In the Microsoft Exchange dialog, select the Security tab.

6. From the Login network security dropdown, select Anonymous Authentication and click OK.

7. Click Next and click Finish, and then click Close on the Account Settings dialog.

8. Click Close on the Mail Setup dialog, and click OK to close the Mail control panel.

Please let me know if this works.

I changed the Logon Network Security to Anonymous Authentication.  When i finish it pops up the Windows Security box to logon.  Same thing.  I enter my Domain\UserID and Password, it just pops back up.

I modified the router to utilize a dedicated outside IP address for the Exchange server, bypassing our IIS Proxy Server. It now works.
