Outlook 2013 email sent from one address ends up in sent folder of another address

Hello,

I have a few users that have two mailboxes one is a external pop3 box and an exchange mailbox. They just use the exchange box for calendaring purposes email is handled thru the pop3 box. Outlook has both boxes setup and normally when the user sends email from companyname.us a copy is placed in the companyname.us sent folder. Recently the user will send an email from the companyname.us box and the copy is in the sent folder of the companyname.local (exchange emailbox sent mail folder). When I look at the email it has the user@companyname.us email address on it so I know the user selected the correct email address when creating the email. Anyone ever heard of this problem . It is occurring for some of my users but it is not constant and it is hard to pin down why it is happening.

Thanks for any ideas

Hi AJINC,

Thank you for your question.

By your state, this issue didnt occur on all users and didnt constantly occur. So we suggest we rebuild the profile on problematic user account, and we rebuild two account on every problematic user.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

B.T.W. Have you ever heard of this issue occurring?

I have been configuring outlook clients and exchange  for years and have never heard this of this particular issue where mail sent from one outbox creates a sent mail in another mailbox
