The only way i have found out to add the event to my calendar is to manually add myself on the event invitation or by reopening the event and clicking the "copy to my calendar" button.
Does anyone know of a rule or setting change i can make to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Do other users have this issue?
Please expand the distribution list first, then send the invite, does this issue persists?
Basically sending an invite to a distribution list which the organizer is a member of is not a wanted behavior, since the organizer should not be both the organizer and the attendee.
If you expand the distribution list before sending and this issue persists, you should remove yourself after expanding the list.

I would say that what you need is, to send the calendar invite as the 'shared calendar' not as you. You may not have the permission to send as the 'shared calendar'.
In any case, even if you are sending to the DL, you should have the item in your calendar , since you are the meeting organizer.
