Outlook 2013 and recently developed trouble with Yahoo Mail IMAP

I have a Windows 8.1 Laptop running Outlook 2013.  For the past year Outlook 2013 has been the interface for a Yahoo Mail IMAP account with no troubles.  Recently this set up has run into some issues.  Outlook will only show current day unread email and email older than 2012.  Mail newer than 2012 to the previous day (read or unread) does not show up in the display.

In the Yahoo Mail web interface all emails are there including the ones that do not showing up in Outlook 2013.

To remedy this the following has been done.

1. Ran Scantool on pst and ost file.

2. Yahoo Mail IMAP account has been removed and reinstalled into Outlook 2013

Neither has returned any results.

Is there something else that can be done to rectify this?

Hi,

First of all, have you noticed any error message when sending/receiving emails in Outlook?

As you can receive new emails, I think the connection is actually good - I even tested on my Outlook 2013 with a Yahoo email account, everything works fine.

Since the emails are all available on web interface, it shouldn't be an archive thing either.

Please switch to FOLDER tab in Outlook, find IMAP group and click IMAP Folders. Click "Query" and check if you have any folder in this account that has not been subscribed in Outlook.

You can also consider to create a new Outlook profile from Control Panel -> Mail, create the account in the new profile to check if the problem persists.

Try resetting your view in Outlook 2013. Click on the view tab and then click "reset view".
