Outlook 2013 and outlook.com various sync issues - various problems - observations

HI,

I have been having odd issues with using office 2013 with my outlook.com account... on both ends.  Here is a snapshot of some discrepancies:

Version   of outlook. 2013 .com diff
unread folder # 18 35 17
inbox 6 3 -3
citpg 2 1 -1
mgt 1 1 0
coupons 4 4 0
sales 2 1 -1
job search 1 1 0
1a-now 1 1 0
news 1 1 0
recipes 1 1 0
Total 19 14 -5

Diff   betw/ unread folder and actual showing unread

-1 21

drafts (local only)

10 0 -10
deleted 91 0 -91
junk 0 0 0
follow up/flagged 41 25 -16

I started noticing outlook.com reporting way more unread emails then there were showing up.

There were some duplicates in 2013, (one in .com) but if you delete one - then the single email is deleted in outlook.com.

There are more emails in outlook 2013 than in outlook.com -

I do not want to lose email if I delete the profile and rebuild the OST.

There is a calendar folder in my inbox folder (shows when hitting ctrl 6) in 2013 that should not be there and cannot be deleted.

The creation dates do not match the received dates on a lot of emails. (added created column) sometimes it is later than the received.

Here is part of a log file with portions deleted for var reasons:

*boot,   (DLETED)

*info: replication triggered StoreGoOnline
*info: Ping Start

+ Sending Ping Request for following folders:      I am guessing I have hit the limit for messages because this window will not allow me to hit a carriage return anymore.   There are more *error: 80070057 Argument out of range DateTime::FromFileTimeUtc, argument out of range   errors down the line.   As I have been collecting data, I compared the folders in the log file to the ones showing in outlook 2013 and have streamlined some folders.  Including renaming one of a duplicated... as the logfile does not distinguish between a sub-folder and a folder.  Anyone have similar experience or know who to target for help?

Hi,

Some suggestions upon this issue:

1. Make sure that the Outlook client has been configured to sync all emails from Outlook.com(File -> Account Settings -> Account Settings):

2. Please check the .ost file for the account, how large is it? You may try the tool Scanpst.exe to scan and repair the error in the .ost file, check if this helps:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/272227

3. As you mentioned you don't want to lose emails if you rebuild the profile, please note the .ost file is actually a local copy of the mailbox on the server, the data in the .ost files are still available on the server. But in your scenario there are more things in Outlook 2013 than in Outlook.com, I suggest you create a new profile to test, while don't remove the old one, just in case any data loss.
