Outlook 2013 and default 'Send From' account

Hi,

I have an Outlook 2013 client connected to an O365 shared mailbox and one 'normal' personal email account.   However, when I send messages, the personal account is always the sender (reply-to address), unless I manually select the shared mailbox as From address.

How can I set the shared mailbox account as default 'From address'?

Mozilla Thunderbird automatically uses the account c urrently selected in the left folder view as 'From' address, can I config Outlook to do the same..?

Thanks for help on this

regards Tor

Outlook will use the currently selected account if it is configured as an account in File, Account Settings.. a shared account is a secondary account in your profile, not a separate account so Outlook doesn't default ot that address when viewing the mailbox.

How was the shared mailbox to your profile? Was it added automatically or did you go into File, Account Settings, more Settings to add it? If you added it in Account Settings, you can add it to your profile as an account. If it was added automatically, the admin needs to remove automapping first.

Hi

Thanks a lot for the reply.

The shared mailbox  appeared automatically in the members' Outlook.  How / where is the automapping managed?  The admin just added the user name(s) in the shared mailbox' settings...

The admin needs to change it using powershell

Add-MailboxPermission"shared-mailbox"-User"alias"-AccessRightsFullAccess AutoMapping $False

more information: Keep FullAccess Mailboxes from being AutoMapped
