Outlook 2013 Reminders Window Is Visible In Taskbar Preview Thumbnail But Is Otherwise Invisible

I have a problem with my Outlook 2013 reminders, the reminders window is visible in taskbar preview thumbnail but is otherwise invisible.

Disabling hardware graphics acceleration in Outlook 2013 hasn't helped.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I have a problem with my Outlook 2013 reminders, the reminders window is visible in taskbar preview thumbnail but is otherwise invisible.

Do you mean the reminder window doesn't pop up when there is a reminder, and it only flashes on the task bar? If this is the case, I'd like to know if you are working in Outlook when a reminder is triggered. When a reminder is triggered and you're working in another application, the reminder window does not come up on top of the dialog; it flashes on the task bar. This is the expected behavior of Outlook. Microsoft's intention is to not interrupt user's tasks (such as typing or presenting) when an Outlook reminder is triggered.

If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know and provide more detailed about your question.

Thanks for your reply Steve, you have misunderstood I don't have the problem you described.

The reminders window is visible in taskbar preview thumbnail but if I click on it, it doesn't appear at all i.e. it is completely invisible. It isn't even visible if you minimise all other open Windows.

I'm running Office 2013 on Windows 8.1 Pro + latest updates. I did a "Switch User" in Windows 8.1 and left Outlook running in the original user account. When I signed out of the second user account and logged back in to the original user account the reminders Window had appeared in Outlook and was as I describe. It's been like this ever since, about a week now.

It appears to be a bug in Outlook and very frustrating as I have no way of acknowledging reminders and they are just building up.

Thank you for the update. Now I understand better about the issue. Please try modifying the following registry key and then test it again:

Note: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it.

1. Close Outlook.

2. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

3. Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Options\Reminders

4. Delete the WindowsPos value from the right pane.

5. Restart Outlook.

Please let me know the result.
