Outlook 2013 Keeps Freezing at Login
I have a user who I just converted from Outlook 2010 using an on-premises server to Outlook 2013 using an online server.  When I try to set up the Outlook Client, i get all the way to where is asks me for a username and password.  The username is already filled in, but I cannot enter the password because the login window freezes.  I can still access email though the Office365 portal, but the Outlook client will not work.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You can first perform a clean boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with this issue that Outlook freezes.

Then you can also try with a new Outlook profile, check if the problem persists with a new one.

If the problem persists, please collect the event logs which may be helpful to determine the cause:

Press Win + R, type "eventvwr" in the blank box, press Enter.

Expand Windows Logs -> Application, check the error about Outlook and collect the logs. You can send the logs to our email address so that we can help with analysis:

Hello,

To overcome kind this issue, you will strive these steps:

Step 1:

Try to disable the hardware acceleration for MS Outlook & check it opens.

Start MS Outlook >> Click on File Tab >> Options >> Advanced tab >> beneath the Display section >> check the box for Disable hardware graphics acceleration >> Click Ok.

Step 2:

If the above step fails to resolve the problem, attempt to open Outlook in safe mode and check if it opens fine or not.

To do so:

Press Windows key + R >> type outlook<space>/safe

If MS Outlook opens fine in safe mode, then disable the add-ins related to Outlook program and so check the result:

Click on File Tab >> Options >> Add-ins >> Click on Go button besides Manage: Com-in Add >> Check if there square measure add-ins listed, clear the checkbox to disable them >> Click OK.

I hope the above information will be helpful for you.

Thanks & Regards
