To whom it may concern,

In my Outlook 2013 app, I can not see the Inbox reading pane, nor the emails in my inbox - they are simply not visible. And when you go to the ribbon, and click on VIEW, the reading pane option in Layout is greyed-out/not available. 

How do I make it available again? Could you help me please? I do not like having to  use my browser to view my emails all the time.

Hi,

One common cause of this problem is that the data file(.pst) is corrupted, try running Scanpst.exe to repair the .pst file and check the result, for the detailed steps, please refer to the kb below and try the steps under Manually start the Inbox Repair tool section:

And try to start Outlook with the switch "cleanviews":

Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /cleanviews" in the blank box, press Enter.

This will restore the default view and all the custom views you created will be lost.
