Outlook 2013

When I try to delete folders in outlook 2013 they magically reappear about 3-4 secs after being deleted.

Is there a way to stop messages deleted from Outlook being deleted on the server?

Hi,

What is the account type you have setup the account as? Exchange, IMAP or POP3?

If you are using an Exchange account, switch to Exchange Online Mode to try again.

If you are using an IMAP account, here's what you can try:

As discussed in the article above, we need to delete the IMAP account from your profile and recreate it.

If it doesn't work, try creating a new profile to setup the account:

If you want to stop the messages deleted from Outlook being deleted on the server, I suggest you setup the account in Outlook via POP3.

Exchange, IMAP or Exchange ActiveSync all keep the emails synced between Outlook Client and the server, only POP3 provides a download feature, that is, emails are downloaded from the server when you are using a POP3 account, if emails are deleted in Outlook, there's no influence on the emails on the server.

In addition, if you want to use POP3, please go to Account Settings to configure it as you need, in case the loss of emails unexpectedly:
