We are using Outlook 2010 as a POP account for our organization.Mails are getting slow when downloading in inbox and also outlook getting hangs.

we have the computer and other parts of local hard drive like C,D,E are working fast without the issue.computer is protected wit anti-virus.

Pls. let me know what may be the issue in outlook.

How about trying to disable the anti-virus program in your computer? Also try to restart your Outlook in safe mode and check whether the issue persists.

In Outlook client, please click Send\Receive progress dialog to check whether there is any error codes. Additionally, please try the steps in the following KB:

Thanks for your information.The outlook 2013 is resolved by disabling the Anti-virus Add-Inn.
