Hi Konkani,

Actually, we've seen some other reports that a recent Outlook 2010 update (KB 2956128) will cause Outlook 2010 not working properly, but the symptoms are various.

We would like to collect more information for further investigation. Could you please provide your detailed system info?

Also, Could you please have a check and send us the log files? You can send the log files to this email account: ibsofc@microsoft.com and inform us here (the email subject should be the link of this thread).

Your kind assistance on this are very much appreciated.

Regards,

Ethan Hua

We found this when looking for recent Outlook 2010 updates:

Update for Microsoft Outlook 2010 (KB2956128) 32-bit Edition installed on a user's computer on 2/13/2015

Twice.

We discovered this when she called support because her Outlook would crash when she tried to open any of her IMAP inboxes.  We had seen some issues with another update from this past Tuesday, so that was my first thought.  The fact that I had two of the same update installed raised a red flag.

We were able to uninstall both updates and re-launch her Outlook with no issues.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Confirmed.

Removing the KB2956128 update, fixes the issue.

Thank you all for helping me out so fast.

Now my next quest is to find how I can block this update from coming into people computers automatically. But I can research on the net.

Thanks!
