Outlook 2010 Reminders will not Clear
We are running Exchange 2003 Ent. SP2 on a Windows 2003 Std. SP2 server. We recently started testing Windows 7 workstations running Office 2010. First of all, we cannot connect to Exchange without running Outlook in cached mode. If you run Outlook in on-line mode, you get "unknown error" when attempting to open any item (mail, calendar, contact, etc.) Second, reminder items do not clear or snooze. Opening Outlook with the clearreminder switch clears them up, but the problem reoccurs. I have found posts telling users to take Outlook out of cached mode to solve this problem, but that doesn't work for us. Lastly, I put Outlook 2010 on a Windows XP Pro machine with the same results. So the problem seems to lie between Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2003. Any recommendations?

I did not, but based on your inquiry I gave it a try. I believe what you are referring to is now called Outlook Anywhere. I enabled it, closed Outlook, re-opened, disabled, closed Outlook, and re-opened. Problem still exits.

Hi, By default, the Encrption is enabled on the Outlook 2010. You should disable it based on the below steps: Find the Account Settings, and in the Security Tab, uncheck "Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange". Then check this issue. AllenAllen Song

Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange was checked. I unchecked it, closed Outlook, re-opened Outlook, tested, problem still exists.
