Juts upgraded from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010.  When I create a new email and and go to the Options tab, the button for Permission is empty.  Our organization uses AD RMS and I am able to open RMS protected emails.  I am not able to create an email with any RMS restrictions because the button is missing.  Also, the is no option to get to permissions on the info tab either.  I also looked into customizing the ribbon and see if I could add the button back, but it does not even show this as a button that exists. 

Any help would be appreciated.

On the two installs I have the Permissions group on the ribbon is blank.  One install:  Windows 7 Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010 upgrade.  Second install: Windows XP virtual machine (XP Mode) full install.

Just got an email from Microsoft that said the following:

MSDN and TechNet subscribers who obtained their product keys for Microsoft® Office Professional Plus 2010 and Visio® Professional 2010 products earlier than May 1, 2010 may not see certain product features enabled. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Note that any product keys obtained after May 1, 2010 are the updated keys that enable full product functionality. All of the impacted keys have been removed from Subscriber Downloads, so the keys displayed alongside the product or on the My Product Keys page are the correct keys to use.

I got a new set of keys from the MSDN site and now the permission button is there and working correctly.  :)
