Outlook 2010 Quick Steps Freezes outlook.

Since changing our emails over to Office 365, i cannot utilize the outlook 2010 quick steps.  When i click on the quick step it freezes outlook for several minutes (has been up to 10 minutes) before it says it is not valid.

I have tried to delete the profile, data file and reinstalled outlook.

I am currently trying to return to default in the manage quick steps but it has taken almost 20 minutes to open and has outlook frozen while it attempts to restore.  Is there a way to delete the quick steps without reinstalling outlook again?

Hello,

You can try these methods to fix the issue:

Method: 1

  • Open Outlook in Safe Mode. To do so: Press Window Key + R >> Type outlook.exe <space >/safe and click on OK button.

  • You can also try to delete the profile and create new one.

Method: 2

  •   Launch Task Manager and end Outlook application from there:

To do so: In short, Press Ctrl +Alt+ Delete Key Combination >> Click on Task Manager >> Under Processes Tab Select Microsoft Outlook and click on End Task Button >> Restart MS Outlook and it should work normally now.

  •  If the problem persists still, then restart your PC.

Method: 3

  •   A common reason for Outlook becoming frozen is virus infection in your PC. So, Download a reliable antivirus program and execute    a full system scan.

Quick Steps are saved within the mailbox. As there was a migration to Office 365, I suspect the Quick Steps are already corrupted, which may be the root cause of this problem.

You may be right. But, I think this is not the issue of Quick Steps Corruption. If you think so, then you can go with the Method 2 as I discussed above in my answer. After searching over the internet, I found an informative article related to your query. You can read this article for more information.
