Outlook 2010 Export Contacts by Category
How can you export certain contacts by category? I have a user with several thousand contacts and we need to export them by a holiday card category. Is there a way to do this?

You can apply a filter to your view, add the colums you need and then directly copy and paste everything into Excel.
See; http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/exportcontacts.htm

From the filtered view or by just selecting the "Holiday Card" category group, you can also directly start a mail merge for just those contacts. See; http://www.msoutlook.info/question/385

Thanks, hoping to find a simple solution. The users didn't have to do this in Office 2003.

You're welcome!

How exactly did they do this in Outlook 2003? No change has been made to the Export process in Outlook 2010.

I know this is an old thread, but I was hoping that there is someway to use powershell to accomplish this in Exchange 2010...  I would like to do this company-wide where users are using various versions of Outlook 2007-2013.   Also, I don't want the end user working through the export on their end.
