Outlook 2010 Calendar shows only text for Hyperlinks

I am working on a Windows 7 (enterprise) 32 bit computer installed with Office 2010 in an enterprise environment.  Outlook is on Exchange.

In Outlook Mail hyper links look and act normally, however in the Calendar all hyperlinks look like text. You can right click on the text and "select hyperlink" and they turn into a proper visible link you can click on, but the user would like to have them look and work normally without having to do that.

I have looked at all the settings I can find about hyperlinks in Outlook, and find nothing out of the ordinary and I have also done a repair on the OST in desperation and even uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled Office and downloaded a new OST, however there is no change. We work in a large enterprise environment and I have probably worked on thousands of computers here and this is not normal for us It seems like this would be some obscure setting I just can't find or perhaps something wrong in the registry. About the only thing I have not done is reimage the computer, but that seems extreme for this kind of problem, and the user would rather not lose the productive time while I reimage and set it up again. Can someone please help Thanks.

If the message is saved without converting them to hyperlinks manually, are they clickable when the appointment is re-opened?

Outlook 2013 behaves the same way when I'm creating the appt with a hyperlink in the body, but when it's saved, the link is converted to a clickable link.

All links in calendar show as text, if you convert one to a link by the method described above (right click, choose "select Hyperlink") it temporarily becomes a working link. However if you close the appointment or meeting (whatever) and open it again, it is back in text format.  The thing that throws me off is that all the links in Mail show as a normal hyperlink and work.

Here they stay clickable once saved and reopened, which is the correct behavior. You really can't compare mail and calendar (or contacts, tasks) - mail is html (hyperlink is created using html code) or plain text. Other items are rich text.

Does it work in Safe mode?

Sorry for the late reply.   I tested this in safe mode and it acted just the same.  So, no it does not work in safe mode.

Hi,

Does the issue happen to all Calendar items with links? How about the link in other meeting attendees' Calendar? Is it a visible link?

If the issue persists in Outlook safe mode, please change a computer to have a try.

Thanks,
