Outlook 2010, linked images dont appear in message body

Hello again,

I have a little annoying bug in my outlook...we have images on our signatures. The signatures are linked to an external server. We create a new message and send it to both outlook 2010 and Thunderbird. In thunderbird the image appears correctly but in outlook I take a message "the linked image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved renamed or deleted verify that the link points to the correct file and location"

I have unchecked the option "dont download images on html messages" and flushed the folder C:\Users\ username \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\.

What else can I do? It's freaking annoying...

no one?

Hi,

Please check this Registry
Key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\<version>\Outlook\Options\Mail
Value name; Send Pictures With Document
Value: 1

Tips: with a value of 1 or if the value name is missing, youll include the picture with the message instead of as a link.  If the value is set to 0 youll send a link.

In signature manager
1. Click on the Picture icon in the Signature Editor
2. As the file name, type the Internet address (URL) to the image in full.
3. Instead of clicking on Insert, click on the little down arrow on the Insert button and choose; Link to File

If this problem still there, test insert the same picture in the main text, and whether this pic will show correctly.  Let me know the result.

I'm having the same issue.  It's driving me absolutely crazy.  I used to be able to send images embedded into the email.  I'm using Outlook 2010.  I would really appreciate it if anyone knows how to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance.

In addition, I've tried the change to the REG above, but it didn't help.  For starters, I didn't even have the string value of Send Pictures With Document.  So, I created it and set it to 1, but no luck.
