Outlook 2007 will not connect to exchange 2007 through the vpn.
I have three computers that at one time were connecting to the exchange server through the VPN. In the past couple of months three computer will not connect to the exchange server. Example:A desktop on a DSL connection will connect the VPN with no errors. I can ping the network but unable to do DNS. I connect a laptop on th esame DSL connection and connect the VPN. The laptop has no issues. Why would the desktop work for over a year and now stop working? What am I missing here?

Hi, Please understand Outlook cannot contact Exchange server without DNS. We need to fix the DNS issue on the client first. 1. Please run ipconfig /flushdns and test the issue again. If the issue persists, please go to step 2. 2. Add your servers IP and FQDN into DNS host file which located at \WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc If you still concern about the DNS issue, in order to resolve the issue more efficiently, I suggest you write a post on our Windows Server forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverNIS/threads Thanks, Elvis
