Outlook 2007 keeps freezing and giving error 0x8004010F (I think it's an exchange issue)
I don't know if my Small Business Server 2008 with exchange 2007 is configured properly. The server is set up to collect email form a 3rd party account and distribute it using the built in pop3 connector and send email via smtp smart host (I know it's a bad way to set up exchange, but my predecessor started to implement it then left me to clean up the mess). Anyway exchange is able to collect the mail and the users are able to send and recieve email, the problem is outlook (2007 version) anytime the users open outlook they get an autodiscover.domainname security certificate warning, I click yes, and it will go away until next time they start outlook I've tried to install the certificate on their machine, but the same problem happens. Also the user's outlook will freeze a lot, it will freeze for 30 seconds to one minute sometimes when they try to do something or sometimes just if outlook is idle it will freeze. Also if I manually hit send and receive it will hang for a while then return with error 0x8004010F (Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004010F): 'The operation failed. An object could not be found.'). I know the problem is not with their outlook as I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, plus the same problems are happening for all the users. I think that exchange is not properly configured. How cn I ensure that outlook is configured properly? Thanks,

You should ask this question in the SBS newsgroup since the POP3 connector is an SBS, not Exchange component. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/smallbusinessserver/threadsEd Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
