Outlook 2007 changes screen resolution on startup

When I start Outlook2007 the program lowers my screen resolution (both the program and my desktop).  I can reset the resolution once the program opens and it is fine (until the next time I open Outlook).

When opening Outlook I get a popup message asking if I will allow Outlook to make changes to my hard drive.

Just upgraded from Windows Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional OS.

Would appreciate any help or suggestions.  Thanks much in advance... Bill

Max Meng,

THANK YOU so very much!  The Compability tab was set to "256 colors".  After I unchecked that box Outlook opened without a hitch.  You are terrific!

I have a similar problem, whenever I email a report or invoice from my accounting software (Peachtree) the resolution changes in the application. I end up with double title bars and large fonts. I have checked the compatibility in Outlook 2007 and no options are checked. I called Peachtree support and they told me to contact my IT department, because they could not resolve it either. This only happens in my Peachtree program. I have to close the program and re-open it after I send an email. Any advice? Thank you.
