Outlook 2007 SP2 Calendar Issues, duplicate appointments, deleted appointments, required attendees change to optional

Hello there,

We have an associate, who is an executive adminstrator, that sets up appointments and accepts appointments on behalf of the executive.  Some issues that are occurring are:

  1. Appointments are duplicated in the executive's Calendar after accepting on his behalf
  2. Appointments, in which the executive adminstrator are organizers of, gets deleted once the executive accepts.
  3. When the executive adminstrator sends an appointment to the Executives group, they all accept.  When the executive adminstrator moves the appointment to a different date or time, the required attendees become optional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  These issues are occurring occassionally.

Thank you

Hi,

Are you using cached mode? Microsoft Exchange Cached Mode does not update the mailbox in a timely manner so it may cause duplicate calendar entry in Microsoft Outlook. So, try to uncheck the option:

1.       In Outlook, click Tools.

2.       Select Account Settings

3.       Highlight the Microsoft Exchange Server and click Change.

4.       Uncheck Use Cached Exchange Mode.

5.       Click Next and then Finish.

Best Regards,

Hello,
I have a similar problem.
I have an executive who delegates his mailbox to a generic user.
This generic user has a mailbox and is managed by three secretaries
The problem-random-appears when a secretary, sent an appointment on behalf of the executive: it creates the appointment on the executive calendar, but also created in the secretary's personal calendar.
All secretaries are using Outlook 2003 SP3, in addition to the executive. Have no plugins installed. Cached mode.
Our mail server is Exchange Server 2007 SP2.
Is there any officially reported incidence?
Thanks for everything
Regards,
