Outlook 2007 Message Read Time
All, My organization is currently having an issue where emails are being "read" but no one claims to have actually read the email. I tried to us MFCMAPI to determine when the message had been marked as read to try and track down what is going on but I can not find a value within the program to determine when this occurred. Can I determine the read time using this program or will a need to use something else? Unfortunately there is was not a read receipt asked for on this message so this is about the only option I have to try and track down this problem.

You can use the value of the “PR_MESSAGE_FLAGS” property to verify that. For the messages that have been read, “MSGFLAG_READ” flag will be added into the value, so unread item won’t have this flag set Notes: However, users can modify the flag by simply changing the “Read/Unread” status in the outlook Resources: Required Properties for All MessagesJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
