Outlook 2007 Error Message
Whenever I click onto a link on my Outlook Email I get an error message message that I am not authorized to carry out this action and it informs me to log on as an administrator, I am the system administrator on my computer and can't find any help in the help section of Microsoft Office. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Clarify: Received error info when click the hyperlink in the message, right? Please correct info if I have misunderstood it Collect info: 1. Which type of mail account do we talk here, exchange account, POP3 or IMAP4? 2. Who provides the mail service, your company or local ISP? 3. Please provide the fully error info of the issue, and check the application log for related error event after reproduce the issue <Start->Run->eventvwr> 4. Is this happened on the links of all received messages or part of messages? General troubleshooting: 1. Start outlook in safe mode <Start->Run->outlook /safe> Notes: It can disable 3rd-party Add-ins for testing, so if issue werent persisted, we can determine the cause is Add-ins 2. Disable all Non-microsoft services in Msconfig for testing a. Start->Run->msconfig b. In the Services tab, click "Hide All Microsoft Services" and click "Disable All" c. In the Startup tab, click "Disable All". Click OK. d. Restart the computer and then check the issue Notes: This will temporarily prevent 3rd-party programs from running automatically during start-up

Thanks for the information, just received it today, one day too late. It was a virus or malware that caused the problem. What it did was caused problems first in Outlook, then jumped to IE, and what happened then was it caused windows to pop up all over the place, then a warning that looked like a Windows Defender Warning came up with a IE window that said that I had a virus and needed to scan the computer. Once it scanned it disabled all antivirus, spyware, and pop up blockers. Then it directed you to a site that sold Vista Repair 2008.It would also not allow you to go to a restore point which I tried, all you get is a black screen of deathwhen completed. AllI could do was reformat my hard drive. This virus was not found by any of my three antivirus, three spyware, or Microsoft Complete Care. It is one nasty virus.

I see, you may contact the vendor of anti-virus software or post the symptom to the forum of those anti-virus software. It may help to get the resolution more effectively
