Outlook 2007 Calendar defaults to a shared Calendar, not user's own calendar
We have a user who is a delegate for 3 other staff.  She opens their calendars but it seems to default to one of their calendars, not hers.  If she tries to create an appointment in her calendar, it still says the name of the shared calendar in the top bar, suggesting that it is the active calendar. It is an upgrade from 2003 to Outlook 2007 and we have deleted and recreated the profile.  I am going to uninstall and re-install Office 2007 but was wondering if there was any other thoughts and suggestion please?

By default, Outlook would remember the chosen folder when you close Outlook last time. in Outlook Have you tried to calendar all of the delegate access setting for him and reset it?

Does he get the full access permission for these mailbox? If yes, first remove the setting from EMC. (What's the version of Exchange?)

Try to use the switch command-line to clear the view or launch Outlook in safe mode to check the result.

Another testing is that switching his Outlook profile to Exchange online mode to check it.

Hi Tony

Thanks for the info. I've reinstalled Office 2007 and tested it with my account as the user is not about at the moment.  It worked OK with mine and a shared calendar I access so I need to see what happens to them when they come back from leave. We still have Exchange 2003 but will be moving to 2010 soon. I will look at what you've suggested when they come back. Many thanks.
