Outlook 2007 Calendar cannot be edited in All Appointments view or after being searched

I ran into an odd problem with Outlook. When a user searches his Calendar to find many meetings with a similar title he can no longer edit them in the all appointments view. The Calendar items are still editable by double clicking to open the events and then editing them, but used to be editable after searching the Calendar and editing each indivdual line where it looks like excel. After troubleshooting and trying many possible solutions to this problem nothing has worked so far. The computer also infected my profile with this problem. I am not sure how it is caused besides just an account using email and searching the Calendar on the specific computer.

Outlook Version 12.0.6668.5000 SP3 MSO 12.0.6662.5000

Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600

Exchange Server 2007 08.02.0301.000

Possible solutions attempted:

Did the following: Checked to make sure IE is set to work online and default browser.

Scanpst.exe, and scanost.exe located at drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12.

H:\>"C:\program files\microsoft office\office12\outlook.exe" /cleanviews

Enable and disable cached exchange mode

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar Create new DWORD value "UseLegacyFB" with value data '1' Exit from registry and restart outlook using "C:\program files\microsoft office\office12\outlook.exe" /cleanfreebusy' switch. Hi,

When we search the calendar and results are shown in table view, we cannot edit the appointment. This is BY DESIGN .You need to open the appointment and then only you can edit it. This behavior has been checked with Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013 and there is no way to edit the outlook appointments or meeting requests like an excel.

There is no way to change the behavior

Hope this helps

Hello,

The functionality of the edit is not exactly like excel, it was just in line editing, so you could change the title of the event or the time of the event after searching for events or putting the calendar in all appointments view. This was working for a while, and then something changed with his computer or his exchange profile that no longer allows him to edit in this way. I also used my account to investigate this and now my account can no longer edit in this way. Testing accounts can still edit this way without problems, so can every user who does not use the specific computer. Is there an update for Outlook 2007 that causes this to stop working, so I can uninstall the specific update to make it work for him again?

Hello,

Here is a short video of the function working the way it was, and after using a certain computer something changes about the mailbox, mail profile, or maybe its just a setting on the local machine, but it no longer works.
