Outlook 2007 Autodiscover Issue

Hi,

I have a strange Autodiscover issue with Outlook 2007 on some client machines. Basically what is happening is that Outlook clients are unable to autodiscover unless the autodiscover URL is added to the WINHTTP proxy bypass config. For some reason Outlook is not using the IE proxy server settings but is defaulting to the WINHTTP proxy config which is used for windows services from what I understand?

I can enter the autodiscover URL into the WINHTTP bypass list however I really need to know why it is not using the IE proxy configuration?

Has anyone come accross this issue before?

Regards,

Michael.

Hi Michael,

Since this issue is more related to Autodiscover and proxy, I'd recommend you post a new question in the Exchange Server forum for further assistance:

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
