Outlook 2003 crashes after you move your mailbox to a server that is running Exchange Server 2000
We're seeingan issue, similar to that described in kb 922617 with respect to ES 2003. Can anyone tell me if the hotfix described will work for EX Server 2000?

Hello, The answer is no because in the applies to region Exchange 2000 is not there. I searched on the internet for your issue but didn't find much answers. Some people describe that hey use pst files which are causing the issue. Is this also with your client ?

Hi, kb 922617 only can be applied with Exchange 2003. Please describe the issue that you met with, especially the event that you can find in the event log. Besides, Id like to collect the below information. 1. What is the version of the outlook? 2. In which scenario, the outlook crashed?(Starting outlook?) 3. What it the background, it occurred just after you moved the mailbox from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000? 4. Were all the mailbox affected by this issue? Meanwhile, I found a related hot fix, you may refer to it. A user experiences various errors in Outlook after you move the user's mailbox from Exchange 5.5 or from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 SP1 or to Exchange 2003 SP2 http://support.microsoft.com/KB/926084 Hope it helps. Outlook 2003 is crashing when a user (not all users are affected) tries to access their calendar or contacts - not .pst, but the exchange mailbox. It launches OK, it's not until they try to access these other folders. This began occuring after moving mailboxes from one Windows Server 2003 box to another, bothrunning Exchange 2000.
