Outlook 2003/2007 Address Book:Global Address List Display fields - "Quick Dial:"
Hi, I have recently noticed when looking up users in our Outlook address book (address book: global address list) there is a "Quick Dial:" filed displayed under the General tab of the selected user. I am not aware of any 3rd party apps being installed. This option is showing for mailbox users, but not mail contacts. The field is displayed in both Outlook 2003 and 2007. I have checked Active Directory and the Exchange 2007 configurations fields for this option, but there is no mention of this field (Quick Dial) anywhere. Does anyone know how the field is configured? Or what it is used for? Thanks in advance.

The address book details pages (but not the tabular display) are editable. Here's a link to some information about that in Exchange 2007: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232094(EXCHG.80).aspx-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.". Thanks Ed. I have not found who or what created this field in the user template, but I have been able to remove it. Thank you all for your feedback.
