Outlook (2000 - 2003) cannot connect to Exchange Server 2003 over VPN
Hello, We're unable to use RPC over HTTPS due to running an internal, HTTPS-based website on a different server; that is the case until we can implement a wildcard secure server certificate (at least that is my understanding). With that as the case, we have an ISA 2004 firewall. Our laptops all use the Firewall Client, and disable it when they're on the road. They're able to connect on the VPN with no problem, as proved by their ability to connect to and browse files on our fileserver. The one sticking point is Outlook. Whenever they try to use Outlook over the VPN, it times-out when trying to connect to the Exchange Server. I forgot to point out that pinging of the exchange server works fine over the VPN. Same with Name Resolution. I'm happy to publish my rules from the ISA server, which is where I believe the problem lies. I am hesitant to enable Cached mode as I've experienced problems where it did not update - for weeks. Once I turned off cached mode on a user's desktop and restart Outlook, the email they had not received for the previous 3 weeks was visible. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
