Hello everyone,

My search skills are failing me on this, probably because I'm not describing it properly. I have a new Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit system with Office 2013 Pro 32-bit installed. Latest patches applied via our System Center system. Often, when I leave Word or Outlook as the active window and lock my computer with Ctrl-Alt-Del, I unlock my PC to find a mostly-blank window. In Outlook, usually only the message header in the preview pane contains text. In word, the page breaks remain visible, but that is all. Word pic attached.

The application is still functional -- if you remember where the ribbons are and click blind. I can save the file / draft, close the app, and open it again with the missing text restored. 

Our Windows 7 machines do not have this issue with Office 2013, so I suspect it is a Windows 8.1/Office 2013 combo. Has anyone else experienced this, or can point me to the right way to describe it to find existing KB entries or other help?
