Outlook/ADUC
In ADUC users and computers if I click on my freinds mailbox in the exchange advanced tab, and then mailbox rights, I see the ACL - and the various people who can access his mailbox (full mailbox access). Is there anyway my freind could also see this ACL in Outlook 2003? i.e. check for themselves who has been added to their mailbox ACL? If yes can you detail how?

Within Outlook you cant, maybe your friend should use delegates so that they know who has access to their mailbox. Also, you can give more permissions at a granular level.Sukh

Sukh Can you see any reason at all why someone would set permissions via AD and not delegate rights? It is absolutely rife in our place and there must be some reason why our exchange admins have done it this way... What are the key risks of setting permissions via ad and not delegate access?

admin decision really, maybe it's easier for them to do it that way, maybe user can be asked to do it via delegates. I wouldn't do it for personal mailboes unless there is a really good reason, maybe for shared mailboxes it may be OK.Sukh
