Out of Office messages
Leaver has a out of office set.
Internal emails recieve the message
External email dont recieve the message
Exchange Server 2003 is in place

OOO replies to external domains are disabled by default. Is it enabled for your domain?

Can this be enable in Exchange 2003

yes.. go to gloabl settings
click on internet message fromats
right click DEFAULT
go to advanced and click allow out of message formats
this is for sure available with exch 2003 SP2, not sure with earlier versionsDhruv
