Out of Office message on Exchange 2007
Hi We have a request from a user for OOF to reply to users everyday even when the reply as been setn already. I know that the OOF will go out once per period that was set. Is it possible to force OOF to reply to every message from just one mailbox? Thanks maelitoismael

Using OOF it is not possible .you can achieve same by configuring auto reply. Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

In Exchange Management Console, Go to Organization Configuration---Hub Transport. On the Right pane select Transport Rules 2. Create a New Transport Rule, Lets name it as auto reply Rule, Under Conditions for Step1 select sent to people 3. Click people, add the user that you want to apply the rule for it, and click on Next 4. Under the Actions Step1 select Send bounce message to sender with enhanced status code 5. Under Step2 select the underlined delivery not authorized, message refused, a new window for bounce message opens 6. Under the Bounce Message type in the message which you want to send to end-user, click on OK and then Next 7. Ignore the exceptions and click on Next 8. Click on New. 9. Check the effect. Hi,I Agree with Vindo. you can also try to configure Outlook Rules using rules and from tools in outlook. I feel that it will be good if you configure outlook rules because every mail would be scanned to check again transport rule. 1. outlook2. Tools -> Rules and Alerts3. New Rule4. Start from Blank Rule5. Sent to me6. Have server reply using specific messageRegards,Krishnahttp://smtpport25.wordpress.com/

Auto-replies are a bad idea as they can lead to mail loops.

What do you mean by email loops? ismael Hi Ismael,Mail loops can be created with auto-replies quite easily since the mailbox will respond to every message with another. You typically see this when a service process generates a lot of alerts or an external user uses an auto-reply and the Exchange mailbox replies back and it continues unless one of the mail systems picks up on the loop by hop count ( Which doesnt always happen). I've seen queues fill up with thousands of messages because an auto-reply was enabled.

Hello,Is there a better way to do this. I want to set an auto-reply for one Mailbox, with user disabled. I tried to create a Transport Rule, and it worked. But the message sender receives is quite messy. I just want to get a nice reply from that mailbox include some new contact information.Another question depending on this matter. If I can't get a better reply. Can I set Out-of-Office message to that mailbox byt granting me full access there, and using Outlook Web Access? - Matti P
