if u r using exchange server 2003 then used By default, the out-of-office reply to Internet recipients is turned off. Many administrators do not allow out-of-office replies to be sent outside the Exchange Server organization, so that unauthorized people do not know when users are out of the office. RESOLUTIONTo turn on out-of-office replies to the Internet, follow these steps:On the Exchange server, start Exchange System Manager.Go to Global Settings, and then click Internet Message Formats. In the Details pane, right-click on your domain name, and then click Properties. The default SMTP domain is "*". In the Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab, and then click to select the Allow out of office responses check box. This turns on out-of-office responses to the Internet for the selected domain. This was tested no Windows 2003 server with Exchange SP1 installedYou may need to restart the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine servicesRegardsSyed Arsalan. syed.arsalan

hi ,U are saying that some users have facing this issue ,ok try to create a new profile of any trouble user and verify it settings again ,an important thing is that out of settings have some limitations also such as to block all external domains out of office settings ,only internal etc.so just go through the below .http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/10/06/429115.aspxhttp://forums.msexchange.org/m_1800497106/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#1800497106RegardsSyed Arsalan.syed.arsalan

Hi,Did you mean the OOF was sent out which could be viewed via Message Tracking Log?Did this issue occur in Outlook client? Please use MFCMAPI tool to check the PR_OOF_STATE value of the problematic user:1.Start MFCMAPI.exe and click OK in the first dialog box that appears.2.On the Session menu, click Logon and Display Store Table.3.Select the profile for the mailbox under inspection.4.In the list of stores for the profile, select Mailbox - <mailbox name>.5.In the Property pane, scroll down to the PR_OOF_STATE property. If the PR_OOF_STATE is true which indicates the OOF is turn on, otherwise that is false which indicates the OOF is turn off.ThanksAllen
