Outlook 2003 users store OOF info in public folders. Outlook 2007 and above retrieve that information from IIS. This is a great doc, I have used it on the ISA setup design and implementation. WE are using outlook anywhare. Does the Outlook 2007 client still do a separate https connection for Out of Office. If so what service/path is it using?

This is setup in the ISA server. How canI test to see if it works. What other functinos uses the EWS? Also the internal name of the server is alfatech.com the external name is atce.com, just a FYI.

Hello, Just to share my recent experience :-D I had the same problem and checked my rules from my ISA server 2006 on the Outlook Anywhere. I had an issue on the EWS folder. I connected on the CAS 1 and CAS 2 and I check from IIS the EWS folder -> directory security tab -> Edit button. I noticed that on my CAS1 I had the base authentication ticked AND THAT SAME option was NOT TICKED on my CAS2!! I ticked it and restarted IIS services: iisreset /noforce You should expect a small service interuption and if the iis service does not restart directly do not hesitate to launch again the command. I recheck my outlook anywhere from ISA 2006 server and all green :-D Rule's OK now. Hope it would help! Graig
