Option Save As - SharePoint missing in Office 2013

Hi!

I have installed Office 2013 Professional plus on a Virtual machine. For some strange reason the option Save As - SharePoint does not exist. Only Skydrive Other web locations and Computer are visible. But on another VM also the option Sharepoint is visible.

Excel version 15.0.4535.1507

Sharepoint 2013 Enterprise Edition is installed on the same server

So far no rescue on google.

Has anyone seen this problem and knows how to deal with it?

Thanks in advance

If you have saved a workbook to SP, you can find this option:

If you haven't, the default options are:SkyDriver, Computer, Add a place.

You can try to publish a workbook on SP then find whether this option is already exist:

Hi,

The option Save As - SharePoint would not exist when Office 2013 initial installed.  After you save a file to a SharePoint library for the first time, you can click Save as you do for any file. This is by design.

Thanks.

OK,

How do I save it to SP the first time? I have managed to pick up a file from SP and saved it to SP but the option still does not exist in Excel.

Ok, I got it to work. "Save to SharePoint"

1) Add the document (Excel file) to a document library on a SharePoint 2013 site

2) Click on the file within the SharePoint document library.

3) Click open in Excel

4) Save the file

5) Close Excel

6) Open Excel, select new Blank Workbook, File, Save As, "SharePoint" should now appear.

I have the same problem that the SharePoint link is missing from the Save As in Office 2013 applications, even after saving a Word file and an Excel file to the self-hosted SharePoint location.

Any ideas on how to get the link to show up?

I have the same problem. Used to be able to select SharePoint under Save As in Office, as of mid-December SharePoint option has been unavailable. We contacted our SharePoint supporter and they told us that this option is no longer available due to a Microsoft update i.e. Microsoft has removed this option. Can anyone confirm that this is correct?

I tested this on an RTM release of Office 2013 and SharePoint showed up. I tested it on a machine post-SP1 and instead of SharePoint, it showed up as "Other web locations"
