Online with Microsoft Exchange v. Connected to Microsoft Exchange
We have a 2003 server. We have recently gotten several new computers. One of these computers is having issues such as taking a long time to send/receive emails and the user cannot access the computer remotely. We've noticed that in Outlook, this particular machine says "Online with Microsoft Exchange" instead of "Connected to Microsoft Exchange" like all of the other compouters. Our tech guy has been less than helpful, and told us that those both mean "basically the same thing." Is that true?

Hi, I think the message "Online with Microsoft Exchange" come when we have Mapi profile with out cached mode enabled & "Connected to Microsoft Exchange" when we have cached mode enabled, do let us know if more info is required.Ripu Daman Mina | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging

I have only very basic computer knowledge - what difference does this make as far as the computer's performance? Could changing the setting make the email work better? If so, where do I find the settings to make the change? Thanks!
