One user recieving another user's email
**** Originally posted in the Active Directory forum but advised to repost here in the Exchange forum - I don't know which one is causing this probelm ****Hello,I have come across a very strange problem within my organsiation where a user is recieving another user's email. Let's call them Tom and Jerry.Tom worked here as a manager for some time and Jerry joined to replace to him. Tom continued to work within the company but in a different role. Tom has only recently needed to use email again but Jerry has noticed that he recieves every email that Tom sends or gets.I had originally thought that Tom's user account may have been renamed to Jerry's but this doesn't explain why there are two separate accounts and how Jerry is recieving Tom and his own emails.I'm not trying to dumb this problem down at all but I couldn't think of an easy way to explain it. I have already checked the following:Jerry does not have access to Tom's mailbox through security permissions. There are no rules set up in Exchange to forward mails to Jerry.Tom does not use Outlook so there are no client-side rules set up to forward Tom's mails to Jerry.Any ideas??

hi,please check Transport rules, maybe there can be a rule for this.and please try to delete one of them mailbox and recreate it. you can create it with different name for testing and then you can create it with the same name again.regards,Mumin CICEK | Exchange - MVP | www.cozumpark.com | www.mumincicek.com

Hi Mumin,I have already checked Exchange for this kind of rule:"There are no rules set up in Exchange to forward mails to Jerry."I would rather figure out what's wrong and fix it than just delete their mailboxes and all of their, quite important, email. Any suggestions on how to debug or fix this?

I would take LDP dump of Tom and compare Alternative Methods to Obtain a Dump of an Object http://support.microsoft.com/kb/271201 Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
