OneDrive for Business Critical Error 0x80004005

Hello all,

I'm facing a OneDrive for Business Critical Error 0x80004005 on my Windows server 2012 R2 working as a RDSH with Office 2013 std installed.

I have tried several options without success and especially :

  • uninstalling/reinstalling Office 2013 std -> KO;
  • uninstalling/reinstalling Office 2013 pro -> KO;
  • uninstalling/reinstalling OneDrive for Business standalone in 32 and 64 bits version -> KO;
  • all of above using O15CTRRemove tool ->KO;
  • this link https://community.office365.com/en-us/f/154/t/236194 -> KO;

Would you have any recommendation that could help to fix this issue?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best Regards.

1. Remove Office 2013 completely from the computer by using the fix it tool in the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501. Then, the cache data and registry information can be removed automatically.

2. Clear all related windows credentials by running the following command in Command Prompt:
rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr

3. Reinstall the latest version of Office.

If the issue persists, could you run a clean boot to check if the issue is related to services conflicts? Please follow the article below to run a clean boot to disable all startup programs and the third party services:
