Old Recipients Container under Users in AD from 5.5
My dumb question of the day... We are migrating from 2003 to 2010. We still have the old 5.5 ADC generated Recipients container under the Users container in ADUC. We are in 2003-2010 coexistence right now. Can we delete those (they are empty) and are there any repercussions buried in AD somewhere that might come back to bite us. (Got rid of 5.5 in 2004). I would like to clean up AD but deleting those containers were (iirc) never in the 5.5 to 200x migration docs so we left them. Thanks, jremmc

The OU you used for ADC can be deleted. The only purpose for this OU was for ADC to write/create user in. One the ADC is gone you can do whatever you feel like with users in this OU and the OU itself. When doing prep fpor Exchange 2010, one thing checked for is ADC. And since you have installed Exchange 2010 you passed this test adn should be good to go. lasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com
