Old Exchange Server in Exchange 2007 Console
Good day! So I installed Exchange 2007 some time back and tested it on a server... moved some mailboxes around etc. Then I trashed the server without uninstalling it. Bad idea, I know. Now the time has come for the real exchange server to be installed, which it is, but the old server still displays in the console. I have deleted the computer account and obviously this has no effect. How can I remove an Exchange 2007 server which no longer exists from the console? Thanks, Dave.

Hi, You must remove the old server from active directory: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;278918 Leif

Hi Leif, Thanks for the help, although that article is for Exchange 2000, and I guess Windows 2000/2003. I have Exchange 2007 and Windows 2008. I looked at the article you specified, as well as http://support.microsoft.com/kb/252335/and clearly this is not for Exchange 2007 as the containers do not appear there. Can you perhaps point me in another direction? Thanks. Dave.
