Office Pro Plus 2013 on Terminal Services / Citrix Environments

Two questions:

Does Office Pro Plus 2013 work in a Terminal Services/Citrix environment and can it be licensed for this?

2010 could NOT.

Can 2013 work?

AND

Does 2013 Pro Plus require local administrator rights to install on a PC?

Hi,

for VL, both Office2010 and Office2013 are compatible with TS/RDS, and both are licensable for that (since Office uses a device-based license. O365 is licensed differently)

I have always known that VL works with TS/RDS.  VL is not the question.

The question is does the new Office 2013 Pro Plus/Office 365 version work on Terminal Services or Citrix?  In the past (Office 2010), it did NOT because of the licensing issues.  Can I subscribe to Office 365 and install it on my Citrix/Terminal Server environment for all my users that use their system via thin client desktops?  IE:  No PC!

Secondary question...does Office 2013 Office 365 version work WITHOUT local PC administrator rights in a domain?

as per the second link I gave above, VL editions of Office are deployable and supported on RDS.

Because RDS deployments require that the MSI package be used (rather than the app-v/CTR package), local admin rights are required to perform the installation.

If you are using VDI or XenDesktop, to publish a complete desktop (rather than just a session), you have some different technical options.

Office 2013 Pro Plus for Office 365 CAN be installed in a TS/RDS Environment. You just need a copy of the VL Software

No, it can't. The blog post you linked to, clearly says that it can't.
Office2013ProPlus is a different set of bits, compared to the O365ProPlus bits.
The blog post, and this thread, are about the technical ability to install O365ProPlus upon a TS/RDS host.
From a licensing perspective, if the device/pc where Office will be used, is entitled with an Office license, then the VL (MSI) bits could be installed upon the TS/RDS host and the entitled device can use Office.
But that requires the VL (MSI) bits, not the O365ProPlus bits.
If you subscribe to an O365 plan, and that plan includes O365ProPlus, that still doesn't get you the Office2013ProPlus (VL MSI bits) which you will need if you want to offer it via TS/RDS.
