Office Pro 2013 Plus - requires new licence key after win10 upgrade

After doing an in place upgrade from Win 7 ultimate to Windows 10 - everything worked great except when I try and run Office Pro 2013 plus I get informed that I need a new product key and that my current key is invalid.  I have uninstalled Office and reinstalled and get the same error - office shuts down immediately.

Irony is that Office is the only product that failed after the upgrade.

thanks for any help

regards

Michael

Hi,

In this scenario, I suggest you try to activate the Office by phone.

Or you can contact the local customer service to get more dedicated assistance:

I have no option to activate by phone - as soon as any of the apps run it tells me that the key is invalid - nowhere to enter the key.

MS want to charge $499 to resolve the issue - looking to resolve this for free - since my Office 2013 Pro Plus already cost an arm and a leg.

Hi,

If you purchased a valid product key before, but now can't activate Office after the upgrade to Windows 10, I agree you shouldn't need a new product key.

I suggest you enter the product key again to check the result:

Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Right click on Office, click "Change" -> Enter a Product Key -> Continue -> Enter the product key and then click Continue.

You may also need to repair Office from there too.

that didn't work - so I uninstalled the Office and have now tried to reinstall and it is telling me that the product key is not valid and to remove the trial version?

any ideas?
