Office 365 Windows Registry keys needed to be searched to detect an installation

Hi all,

I have installed Office 365 without having issues.

Right now I need to figured out which keys do i need to search for to determinate if Office is installed on the machine.

From what i have on my Windows Registry i would say to search for the following:

HKLM\software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15,0\Common ( with or without the Wow6432Node depending on the architecture )

Is this enough to be sure that Office is correctly installed ? Do I need to search for something else ?

Thanks in advance. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

  Fabian

Hi Fabian

Yes, we can detcet whether Office 2013 is installed in your computer by searching the registry key you mentioned.

We can refer to the following registry key as well:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

what key should i look for on the path you mention ?

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

Since it appears more than one regarding Office 365. I just want to look for one to make sure that Office 365 is installed and no matter what products of Office the machine has installed.

Thanks.

Hi

See the complete registry key path:

2013 64bit:"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{91150000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}"

I know that I am reviving an old thread, but it comes up high on a Google search and appears to give bad information! On my normally functioning 64-bit Office Home installation under 64-bit Windows 8.1, there are three Office GUID keys in the Uninstall path, none of which 'decode' as any standard Office installation. In fact they all have Display Names that show them to be various 'Click-to-Run' components. I am guessing that the most important one of these is the 'Licensing Component ({90150000-007E-0000-1000-0000000FF1CE}), but it would be nice to know! The Office Registry configuration system is a mess!
